GYROTONIC® Private appointments come in 3 sizes:

Private - 1 person - $45, $65, $75
Duet - 2 people - $35, $45, $55 each
Semi-Private - 3 people - $25 - $42 each

Private appointments introduce the practitioner to the first "progression" of the GYROTONIC® repertoire. This includes the basic fundamentals of the work from how to sit and how to breath, how to enjoy a rhythmical, movement experience.

From there, the student may begin working Independently in the studio doing Independent Sessions or they may continue taking private/semi-private lessons. Currently, 60% of our students remain Private Students only, while 40% of our students move into the Independent arena. You must have a minimum of 10 Private Lessons / 15 semi-private, before you begin the Independent Journey, but some will take longer. It depends on your ability to learn new movements and your coordination.

Some students never do Independent Sessions because they prefer to work with an Instructor. Other students are just not geared toward Independent work and need a teacher for guidance. This is the case for people recovering from serious injuries and were cleared by their Physical Therapists to begin GYROTONIC® work or for those who haven't done regular exercise for many years.

If you do wish to pursue Independent work, and you've been approved, the next step is to take Side by Side lessons. During a Side by Side Lesson, the Instructor is on a machine next to you guiding you through the movements. Students verbally hear cues while also having the visual direction from their teacher. Once you begin your Independent Sessions, you continue to take Private Lessons with your Instructor, but the frequency of your private work is dependent upon your goals as a student.
