Pilates for Stronger Bones
Pilates for Stronger Bones is a mat class designed specifically
for people who have either low bone density (Osteopenia) or
bone fragility (Osteoporosis). This class is based on the
findings of recent studies on fitness and low bone density.
We follow recommendations made by the Pilates Method Alliance
and Osteoporosis Bone Doctors and Specialists. We focus on
aligning the body for efficient bone / muscle action; strengthening
the spine; extension in the thoracic cavity; improving balance
and full body strength; developing core strength and integration;
and balancing muscle groups. Please talk with your doctor
