Will Pilates fix my back?

Pilates has the reputation of helping people with back pain. Of course, whether it can help you depends on your specific back issues. People who suffer from common sedentary life-style ailments typically do well with Pilates. This is because Pilates safely and systematically gets you into shape, strengthening your muscles and re-aligns your spine and joints. For people with severe back problems, please go to a physical therapist and come to class only when you have a release from your doctor or PT.
