What is the different between Pilates, Yoga and GYROKINESIS®

The differences are vast. Let's just explain where you are in space and leave the metaphysical experiences up to you. Pilates is about core strengthening and complete body conditioning. It is performed on a mat mainly lying down on your back, belly or side. It is also performed on a variety of machines in a variety of positions.

Yoga is performed primarily standing with some lying and arm supported work, as well as head stands. Props are used and at Inspiral Motion, we offer Vinyasa classes which mean "flow" classes - poses aren't held for too long and teachers provide some metaphysical concepts to ponder while working through your poses. GYROKINESIS® is performed on a stool, sitting on a mat with some lying, and standing. It is an energetic system and uses breath to help move energy through the body, similar to Tai Chi but with overall body conditioning and opening.
