Pilates Machine Classes:
Inspiral Motion is pleased to announce our launch of machine
classes. In order to enroll in machine classes, you must have
machine experience. If you are coming from another studio,
you may take a private lesson so we can assess your level
and place you accordingly. If you are new to machine work,
you must sign up for our $200 Preliminary Reformer Series.

The first day of class is the most basic day and the class
slowly progresses over the weeks, increasing in intensity
and complexity. Students are taken safely through the levels
and may not advance until they are proficient in the movement
patterns and concepts of their specific level.
Pilates Level 2 Reformer Quad
This class is for those who have passed level
1 or those who have learned Pilates Reformer at another studio
or a health club. The Level 2 Pilates Reformer course takes
participants beyond the Fundamentals and into the essential
Pilates syllabus. This course requires students to build on
core awareness and strength, while integrating fluidity, breath,
joint release, centering and spinal alignment. We build upon
our knowledge of the movement fundamentals taught in level
1 and we use this knowledge and apply it to further strengthening
and fluidity. We continue our study of movement fundamentals
and try to integrate our bodies fully in the work. We begin
to learn the essential syllabus taught by Joseph Pilates including
The Hundred, Elephant, Stomach Massage, Pulling Straps, Short
Box, Mermaid, Pelvic Press and more.
At this stage, students should have the fundamentals
of Pilates under their belts. They should understand how to
lift their heads without neck pain, they should understand
how to breathe properly, they should understand pelvis stability
and the role of the rib cage. Students may not move on until
these concepts, among others, are understood and mastered.
